Steps
-

Homemade Raw Chocolate
Please note: Sometimes these ingredients aren’t found in a local grocery store. If you can’t find these ingredients your best bet is to check your local natural food store.
Ingredients
-
1/2 cup cocoa butter
-
1/2 cup virgin coconut oil
-
1/2 cup (raw) organic cocoa powder
-
1/4 – 1/2 cup agave syrup for sweetening
(organic honey, stevia or raw cane sugar okay too; or you don’t have to use any sweetener at all)
Steps
1. With a grater, grate 1/2 cup of the cocoa butter. Cocoa butter melts easier when its been grated. Also measure 1/2 cup of coconut oil.
2. To melt the cocoa butter and oil place them together in a small heat-safe bowl or cup. In a small pan pour warm, but not boiling water into it. Than place the bowl/cup that contains the butter and oil on top of the water. (Please note, you are not pouring ingredients into water.) Stir ingredients in the cup/bowl until smooth.
3. Measure out 1/2 cup cocoa powder.
4. Combine dry ingredients into the bowl with the melted butter and oil. Keep stirring until smooth.
5. Skip this step if you do not want to sweeten your chocolate.... but If you would like to, pour 4-6tbsp agave nectar into the mix and stir.
6. Check if chocolate is sweet enough for you. If not add another tablespoon until you have the desired sweetness.
-
Finally pour the melted chocolate in your mold/ pan / plate / ice cube tray. Place the chocolate for 30 minutes in the freezer or 60 minutes in the refrigerator.
-
Remove from freezer or refrigerator and enjoy your healthy creation!
